Mixed (but mainly very positive) reaction under the cut.
On the one hand: boring - very, very boring - little miss perfect daughter.
On the other hand: her existence gave a very cool bit of insight into the Doctor. And how cool was it that all the stuff we've been writing in our fanfiction and in our RP games about the Doctor and how he feels about Gallifrey and fatherhood etc. etc. etc. is now canon? I mean, have they actually been reading Whoville???? *g*
Did like the twist about 'generations' not 'years'. Don't get how the General was so old, though.
Did not like the twist of Jenny reviving. The writers have been watching too much Star Trek. And she was okay for this one episode, to give the Doctor that story, but I really don't want to see her again, thank you very much.
Donna was cool again.
And David Tennant was amazing. His acting was impeccable. He made me cry.

And another thing, when she regenterated why didn't she, you know, REGENERATE.

I had flashbacks to the Master dying. I don't remember anything like that with Rose? (Though it's a long while since I watched most of S2 - I'm only just working through it for the second time now.)
And YES. That wasn't a regeneration - it was the terraforming stuff bringing her back to life (a la Star Trek). At least, that's the only thing I can assume, since she didn't actually change.

I just meant because she's very pretty and very blonde and looks exactly like every one of his recent love interests and he was talking to her mouth. I mean I know they grew her in five seconds, and even if they hadn't The Doctor is way old enough to have a daughter that looks like that, but did they have to cast a woman who looks so much like his type? Maybe my mind's just permanently glued to the gutter. *shrug* Although, oddly enough, the whole seducing a gaurd while he was two feet away didn't bother me as much becaus that was before he'd accepted her as his daughter. And I agree with Donna, I WOULD like to see him try that.
Oh that's not it. She didn't regenerate becasue Rusty and crew didn't want to have to replace Miss Hotcakes with another actress. You never know they might explain more about regeneration, and why when Romana did her thing we all scratched our heads. Probably not, but we can live in hope.

Yeah, the regeneration/revival was weird. I'm beginning to think Time Ladies do it differently, or something.

It obviously wasn't a regeneration because she didn't change bodies. Plus the puff of terraforming stuff coming out of her mouth. It was totally Spock all over again. *nods*

hope you don't mind

I'm not convinced she regenerated unaided - I think some of it was down to the 'genesis/terraforming' do-hickey BUT even if she healed due to her 'Time Lordiness' as a 'clone' she'd possibly only have that one form available to her.

I suppose I wouldn't mind seeing her again once. If it was done well. But she's not interesting enough to be a recurring character.
I definitely think it was the terraforming gas and not regeneration, but you do make a valid reasoning for why, if it was regeneration, she didn't change body.
