...is potty training.

He took it upon himself to start on Friday, round at Mum's. Then yesterday he wanted nappies on instead, but today he's been in proper pants all day and used the potty twice (plus one accident, but it's very early days yet).

The only problem is that at nap-time we put a nappy on him but as soon as he started to drift off and relax he woke up crying that he needed the potty because he'd got used to the idea of having to hold it in. We tried to reassure him that it was okay to go in his nappy - and did put him on the potty, but he didn't actually do anything - but he was crying and saying he wanted his potty for ages and in the end the only way to get to him to relax enough to sleep was for me to lie down cuddling him on the bed. So he went to sleep in my arms, for the first time in probably nearly two years, and it was soooo cute - and had his nap on our bed.

Anyway. We're just so proud of him, because he's really got the idea of it and just. Wow. He's growing up!

Oh, yay! Big step. I remember when my littlest brother got going on that. Life with be a touch simpler when he's got it all worked out in his head.

:waves: My folks are still in town, but we're all flopping in the midday heat, too tired to walk around more. Art museum tomorrow, though.
