Great first night!

It went REALLY WELL.

There was a great atmosphere, a little over half-full house, my song went the best it's ever gone (including the top A), my mum was all overwhelmed when she greeted me at the end (because it's by far the best thing I've ever had a big part in and she was all proud of me), and Andy enjoyed it despite not expecting to and said I handled my mic well! :-)

And I really, really, enjoyed it. I am on such a high right now. God knows when I'll calm down enough to go to bed!

How long does the show run?

It's all week - Monday to Saturday. LONG week. I've got to be careful not to run out of steam.

But on Saturday, Jades and Smithy and Hellenebright are coming to see it and the latter two are staying with me so we're going to have a fabulous time!!!!!! :-)

I know - it was the same for Anything Goes last October, but before that, I'd only ever done four performances - Thurs, Fri, Sat matinee and Sat evening. To be honest, it's a little bit long for me - hard to keep the energy going all week. On the other hand, I'm enjoying this one so much more than Anything Goes (and I enjoyed that one too) that it probably won't be much of a problem. It's a really fantastic show to be in.

And yeah. SO much fun. :-)

I'm so glad! I know how nerve wracking actually doing something a number you know like that back of your hand can be. And what a high it is to get it right.

And I sympathise with missing it. I missed performing so much during the year and a half I didn't do any. And now here I am in a really fantastic show. I never thought I'd ever get to do anything like this. I still can't quite believe it. :-)
