Unspoilery reaction: Wow.

Spoilery reaction: Wow.

Not going into depth right now because I'm tired and want to go to bed, but just a few thoughts.

1. They packed a hell of a lot into this episode. If they'd spread some of that out just a little through the preceeding few weeks, I might have been a bit more excited about some of them! I think there was actually a little too much death and destruction for me in this one.

2. I have a real thing about the idea of being buried alive. I am NOT going to be able to stop thinking about Jack lying underneath Cardiff for nearly 2,000 years any time soon.

3. Jack was awfully sane after that, don't you think?

4. I loved the twist that Captain John actually wasn't Jack's annoyingly repetitive version of the Master. Because that would have been seriously pathetic and from the start of the episode that really looked like where they were going. I'm very, very glad they didn't.

5. On the other hand, we did get the repetition of 'I forgive you'. I'm not sure I can really believe that anyone could be that good that they'd forgive someone that.

6. Oh, and we got a repetition of Jack in chains. Not really complaining about that one (*g*), though I couldn't help thinking he should have been panting a lot more in that position?

7. Tosh and Owen? Wow, they really are clearing the decks, aren't they? That was rather sweet, though I felt it did go on a bit.

8. I loved Rhys. And Andy.

Um, that's all I can think of right now.

*lower lip wibble*
But... I haven't even seen the show yet and I'm already sad.

Well, I'm not terribly emotionally attached to either Owen or Tosh, but they were familiar. But if I had to pick 2, they'd be it to go.

And about 3: he's had tips on surviving that sort of thing sane from his immortal friends, obviously. *g*

*blinks* Hrm. That it does... Y'know, with Methos back in the game, if you find a reason (knowing that you sent him home 'cause of lack-of-story issues, or something along those lines) to bring Kurt back, we could have the two of them get together and compare notes on hitting the 5K mark. After next week, since I'll be gone starting Monday...

I assumed Owen was getting the heave-ho in one way or another this episode, I hadn't expected Tosh too though.

Jack's sanity is amazing, and a bit unrealistic. As is whatever fabrics his coat and shirt and pants are made of, damn it.

I *love* the John twist too... but was a bit saddened by the Grey one. And a bit confused by Grey calling him "Jack" before skewering him, especially after "Adam" and how they were careful NOT to name him as a kid.

no- John found Grey pre-kkbb- he tells Jack about it as he leaves. Although they'd obviously been in contact since then so he could have told Grey what to call him- but it's still clunky. You haven't seen your brother in 20 years and DON'T call him by the name you knew and have thinking/plotting about for so many years

Sorry. It's be nice if these sorts of plot holes were explainable.
