Written for [livejournal.com profile] donutsweeper who requested Jack/Giles. Originally posted in comments here.

My first attempt at dialogue-only – because the dialogue came first (as always, it seems!) and there wasn't room for anything else in 100 words!

Title: Coming Home (Drabble)
Fandom: Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Torchwood
Author: [livejournal.com profile] unfeathered
Pairing: Rupert Giles/Jack Harkness
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 100
Spoilers: Chosen/Last of the Time Lords

Summary: Jack found his Doctor but he didn't stay…
Author’s Note: Same 'verse as Connection. Followed up here.

"Has something happened? You seem… happier."

"I am. Bizarrely, considering what I've gone through lately."

"Lately? But…"

"You saw me last Tuesday? Yeah. Been over a year for me, though."

"Time travel?"

"Yep."

"Ah. You found the Doctor?"

"Yep."

"Yet… you didn't stay with him?"

"Hey, the rate I age, I could have stayed away decades and you wouldn't know!"

"True. But you didn't."

"I… got what I wanted. And I missed my old life."

"You mean…"

"Yes, Giles. You."

"I… see. In that case… Suppose you get down on your knees and show me how much you missed me?"

Go Giles!
I also love Giles instant understanding of Jack's Time Travel and his rather sexy sujestion of "I… see. In that case… Suppose you get down on your knees and show me how much you missed me?"

I hadn't thought of Giles/Jack before but I like it great stuff.

Now you make me want Ianto/Giles that would be hot - Jack could watch.

now that is one pretty image;) the only thing wrong with this is it should be waaay longer!;) I really enjoyed it though, that wasn't a pairing i've ever thought of before!

*grins* - oh, nice.

I don't get quite the same reaction to it as I got to Connections (of course, it would be a miracle if I did, since they're very different pieces), but I did like it.

And I *loved* the last line. Dom!Giles FTW...
