1. Had a bit of a first last night. Role-playing with morgynleri_fic - me as Kurt (3,000 year-old Jack), her as her original character Anne - we actually wrote het smut. Yes, really! Which is virtually a first for me, since I haven't written het since I was about 19 and that was pretty crap and unrealistic because I just had NO IDEA. And to be honest, I can't remember the last time I even read any het! But we did it. And it probably wasn't the most imaginative sex ever, but I'm just really chuffed that not only did we get through it, but we really enjoyed it and it was really, really good fun.


2. "You make my day" meme snagged off chatona


Pick 10 people and give them the "you make my day" award. If you're picked, you are charged with picking 10 of your own. (But you don't have to do that. This is just me expressing my love for my flist! Oh, and I picked 11, because I couldn't narrow it down any further.)

becky_h - because she writes amazing fic, hosts amazing discussions at her journal, has opened my eyes to a hell of a lot, and is just an amazing person. Oh, and she introduced me to role-playing. *g*

chatona - because she is so wonderfully supportive about my writing and is always there with a hug or a comforting word when I'm down. Oh, and she can write really hot fics.

darthhellokitty - because she says such gorgeous things about my writing, and because we like to read the same sort of kinky stuff as I do.

donutsweeper - because she's a fantastic friend and always brightens up my day, because she loves my writing, and because she writes such great stuff herself – funny stuff that makes me smile, and the odd bit of dark stuff that makes me guh.

jadesfire2808 - because she's a great friend and a brilliant beta and has helped me no end with my writing.

mad_jaks - because, erm, okay, whatever I say here it's going to be pretty much an exact repeat of what I just said about jadesfire2808, so I'll just say, 'see above'!

_medley_ - because it's so nice to have someone else around who loves (and gets) Doctor/Master and because her Yana is out of this world.

morgynleri_fic - because she's totally crazy and really creative and has some fantastically hot characters to role-play with. (Her Eleventh Doctor is just out of this world.)

nuptse - because not only did I write my very first RP smut with her, but she even came back for more, and because her RP characters are HOT. (And I just realised I hadn't friended her yet over here, so have now put that right!)

skipthedemon - because she brought in an AU Doctor and Master to Whoville and not only do they completely ROCK but they've opened up so many stories for the rest of us and made the whole thing so interesting.

smithy161 - because she talks about really interesting things and writes great fic and because I've actually met her and she's lovely and it's fantastic to know there's someone on LJ who's actually within reach in real life if I need it.

Oh yeah, well that's the great thing about RP, isn't it? That things go differently to how they'd go if you were just writing on your own.

And I have to say, interacting with all the other Jacks and Doctors and Masters in Whoville has certainly got me thinking about my own in Master Plan and finally got me moving on that again, and made me so much clearer about my own version of the Master, and - yeah. Fantastic. :-)

Speaking of out of this world, your Lucy is just awesome. The Master and Spike, too, of course, but Lucy's the one I'm watching the closest right now. The Earth is so gonna be hers. I almost feel sorry for her poor human Harry. *eg*

I'm trying to decide whether to bring in her Harry/Master too. I'm not sure how well I'd pull off two characters at once like Lis and Morgyn seem to be able to do.

Man, I don't know how Lis and Morgyn do that, but they're awesome that way. Heh--Harry with a watch could be fun.

Hmm. Really not sure I could do Harry. Not, you know, while also having the Master going at the same time. I think I'd get confused. They'd be too similar.

(I really don't know how Becky keeps both her Jacks separate in her head. Brant's okay, but the other two... I'd be constantly thinking, erm, which of these met which character and said what????)

Oh, yeah, I can see getting confused. Becky's Jacks are different enough that I can see how she keeps them separated, but as far as remembering who talked to who? Wow, I don't know.

I have to admit I'm getting to the stage now where I'm struggling to remember what my characters have learned or said. And that's a LOT of threads to go back through to find out!

It's hard for ME to remember, and I've only got one character. (Turns out Tosh DID mention Torchwood before Yana talked to Lucy, and I just forgot.)

But y'know, how much of the conversations you have every day do you remember? It's probably more realistic if they do forget things now and then.

Oh, on characters in Whoville, since I'm staying up all night (have to be back to work at 9a, having left at 11p, and there's no way I'll wake up on time if I actually sleep), I'm working on an off-site, with quick references to the characters. Includes links to all threads, so they're at least easy to find. Have part of it up, 'cause I started this on Wednesday (there's a reason I shouldn't get bored...), but it's not done enough to link to yet.

'M thinking I might do a "recent threads" page, too, with the last couple of days (Not more than three, I think) worth of threads. Hmm. *files that in the back of her mind for something to do later*

Anyway, am going to stop rambling on your journal for now, and actually go work on what I said I was going to work on. Might take a bit of a nap, too, so I'm not totally exhausted when I head for work tomorrow.

All your behind-the-scenes work on Whoville is very much appreciated. Makes it a lot easier to find things! :-)
