Well, I've finally had a decent night's sleep so I'm not exactly caught up but am feeling more able to tackle things today. So... list:

1. Make meal planner for the next fortnight.

2. Do Tesco order.

3. Do some baking.
(Made flapjacks.)

4. Look up Which report on car seats - Jack needs the next one up.

5. Start looking into nurseries (again) and actually get on with getting Jack enrolled in one.

The first three I have done/intend to do today. The others I may or may not get round to, depending how long my 'getting things done' phase lasts, because it's not usually very long!

In other news, the town house we made an offer on and then lost has come back on the market so we're trying to arrange another viewing of it, and in the meantime we went back for another look at the house we've currently got an offer on. It's bigger than I remembered but it's not as big as the town house and it's £20K more so I think we'll be going for the town house if we can just get to see it again...

And oh God it'd be nice to actually get a buyer for ours so we could put a proper offer in!

Hmmm. Baking.

Good luck with it all. Especially the house!

Glad you're feeling a bit better today.

Re car seats - if you don't have to move them from vehicle to vehicle, then as long as they carry the safety designation (is it still the kite mark??) then they certainly used to be all much of a muchness. The difference seemed to be in how easy they were to move about. Don't know if that's still the case.

Hope it works out with the house eventually.

And baking is always good.

Mmmmm. Flapjacks.

Although these days I have to make sugar free versions...

With great difficulty, let me tell you!!!! They come out more like breakfast cereal - it's impossible to mimic the golden syrup.

Not the same at all - poor you.

it's impossible to mimic the golden syrup
I did wonder...

Oh! Through the power of google, I have learned that British flapjacks are not what I think of when I think of flapjacks. I was like...oven? Something new every day.

I was really quite confused for a moment, yes!

YAY for a good night's sleep

I took an already planned meals for fortnight booklet (a freebie one out of a mag) to Sainsbury's and bought just about everything on *it's* shopping list :)

And my daughter did what I do every time I start a diet and made a hugely calorific pudding for tonight :D

that was yesterday
Oh pooh! It was? I am trying to read in here and help child put stuff together...

Napping is good, if you can manage it *smooches*

Banoffee Pie, yum - I had a small slice and bananas are fruit so that has to be good right?? If I don't have to drive her to college I shall walk to where I need to be tomorrow and work it off that way :)

I don't tend to nap like that - I generally do 20 minutes and then I'm up and at 'em again and quite ready for bed again in the evening. Lucky me. Not quite sure how it got to 2am this morning before I fell asleep last night though...
