I've just had a glass and a half of very nice white wine courtesy of the managers at work and am feeling very mellow and Christmassy.

And it's just taken me about five minutes to type that sentence because of all the backspacing to correct mistakes.

Good thing my job's not typing, eh?

I am CRAP without backspace anyway. Put me on a real typewriter and you get about 17 drafts before you get a version with only about five mistakes in! I think my fingers jsut move faster than my brain or something. Or the other way round.

I'll be going out shopping for lunchtime in a minute so should sober up then, but it's kind of nice right now! :-)

Well, I have to admit that 10.00 in the morning (which was when it started) is a little bit early for me - but we went along about ten to eleven and that was fine. I really enjoyed it.

And then I spent the last couple of hours this afternoon role-playing... Not a bad day at work, considering! *g*

I've never had a mince pie and I'm not sure what a twiglet is... but I am terribly jealous!!!

Seriously? Do they not have mince pies in America? Or is it just because you're Jewish?

Twiglets are little knobbly sticks that look like twigs, covered in Marmite. Weird but yummy.

If it makes you feel any better, I did actually do quite a lot of work as well... :-)

Mincemeat is eaten here, I've just never had it. Are they just pies made with mincemeat?

No need to be ashamed! I assumed Marmite was probably a British thing!

And yeah. Mince pies are little pies with mincemeat in. We eat them a lot at Christmas! And it's traditional to leave some out for Santa with a glass of sherry on Christmas Eve. :-)

Um, there were some pictures but I don't think Andy's uploaded them yet. And they're probably mostly of my back anyway, cuddling Jack. But when they're available I'll see if there's anything worth posting! :-)

Well, I'd like to show off the gorgeousness of my son - but it might have to be Christmas or birthday party pictures rather than Santa.

Tbh, it was a bit of a disaster as he just cried, but I'm sure he'll be fine next year. We should have showed him more pictures of Santa before we took him, so he knew what was going on!
