...it's because I'm hanging out over here at Becky's RP game. She very kindly guided me through my first time (*g*) last night and it was about ten thousand times more fun than I'd expected. I think I'm hooked.

Not to mention that there are some incredible interactions going on in the other threads. I'm having a fantastic time! :-)

Um, other news...

We took Jack to see Father Christmas yesterday morning, and he got all scared, of course, and cried, but didn't make a huge fuss and he enjoyed his mince pie and juice while Andy and I had some mulled wine, which was lovely and made us feel really Christmassy! And Jack had a whale of a time running round the rest of the garden centre peering at all the plants and pots and coloured stones and statues and things.

I still have loads of stuff to do for Christmas and I'm still not feeling like doing it, but I'm getting there slowly. And tonight I'm off to sing carols at an old people's home with my drama group, which should be great fun. I haven't gone carol-singing for years!

The RP thing is rather fun, isn't it? Once you get over the whole 'argh!' part. Perhaps my Doctor could encounter your Master, at some point?

It's fantastic fun! Hard work, especially writing Doctor/Master and trying to keep up with Becky, but definitely worth it!

My Master would love to meet your Doctor. In fact, I should be around for another hour or so right now if you want... *g*

And yeah, here is definitely home and I'm very much still getting used to IJ. It looks so similar, but isn't, quite. :-)

And god yeah, Becky is hard to keep up with. I was too busy trying to work out what's going on in her head to do much other than follow!

There might be some pictures - Andy did take some, but tbh I suspect they're mostly of my back hugging Jack to stop him crying... I'll see if there are any good ones. If not, I'll try and get round to posting some other ones. There certainly ought to be some good ones on either Christmas Day or the Saturday after, which is when Jack's having his party and official birthday. :-)

And I had LOADS of fun caroling. It's so long since I've sung carols! And I sang the descants - some of them on my own - and they weren't too bad! It was fantastic fun! :-)

There's a hell of a lot of reading over at the game but I can recommend anything with Becky in it, especially her threads with Mecca. You can usually tell which ones they are because there are loads and loads of comments! *g*

The one with my Master and her Tenth Doctor is here. It was ridiculously fun to do. And it got me writing again. :-)

I sing the buzz line myself *g* although if my brother's around we'll very naughtily sing the descant parts (transposed down as far as we can both manage) for stuff like Hark the Herald because we are *evil*

Oh, Andy sings the descants down the octave too - he used to be a choirboy. If we sing carols together, there's no-one left singing the tune.

Actually, that tends to happen whatever we're singing. Summer of 69 is terrible because we both sing the high bits. *g*

That thread with Becky was amazing. I mean, I don't know how it reads, but it was just incredible having someone else to bounce off and make it go in directions I wouldn't have thought of, and it was so cool where it ended up. It was all warm and fuzzy, and it felt like it got there in a believable way.

I am completely hooked on this RP thing!

And Smithy and I are at it again! :-)
