OK. I'm here. Yesterday was a ruddy nightmare, but I've had a good night's sleep (at last!) and am feeling a lot more with it today. And a lot calmer. A bit numb, in fact, but that's better than how I was yesterday.

I'm going to play catchup with my flist in a minute - I might not comment much but I will be reading. I might at some point attempt to write up my review of Ghost Machine which I watched - er - several days ago and haven't had the energy to write up yet. I have no plans to do any fiction writing because my creativity has completely dried up. (Though I might yet make it to the RP game, if I can just get up my nerve. It can't really go any worse than anything else I've done lately.)

Apart from that, I have to do some real life things: finish decorating (because I still haven't got round to that), start making chocolates for Christmas, plus normal housework, and then this evening Andy and I are going to curl up on the sofa together with some wine and watch a film. We can't be bothered to go to all the hassle of going out, but that'll do nicely.

Well, I'm hoping the RPing might help, if I can ever get going with that. Writing with someone else to play off might just get my brain moving again.

I think a lot of it's stress at the moment. There's just too much going on in RL for most of us, preparing for Christmas, and not enough brain to go round. :-(

See, that's the unusual thing for me, usually my muse hits me over the head with a thousand ideas as soon as I have absolutely no time to listen to her. Must be Christmas that's causing the creativity leak in general.

Oh, yeah, definitely ideas come when there's no time. But at the moment, with me anyway, it's not so much lack of time as lack of brain. :-(

Tbh, I'm not worried, yet. It's disappointing because I wanted to write a few Christmas present ficlets for people and they're just not happening, but apart from that there's nothing I desperately want to write, so I'll just use the time for other things, and relaxing my brain! :-)

I'm glad you're feeling better. I think it would be wonderful for you to come over to the game, especially since we need more people who are more like newbies to balance the almost blinding awesomeness of seeing Becky and Mecca go at it. I love them, and reading their threads makes me squee constantly, but this is my first time in journal-based RPing and they're a couple of racehorses to my arthritic mule. Gawd, that sounds awful - I really am loving it over there.

Besides, with three Owens, two Jacks (and actually we just got a third much younger Jack), two Iantos, two Roses and now a male!Rose, the crack is ENORMOUS.

Eh, it's nice to know there are other newbies (or at least relative newbies) over there - everybody seems to know just what they're doing!

I hadn't spotted you over there, actually - what character(s) are you playing? Mind you, it's really hard to keep track of who's who!

My character journal over there is dirty_pretty; I'm playing an OC, and while I know I'm probably being much too impatient with myself, I'm not sure I'd recommend an OC for a newbie in this kind of game. Of course nuptse is apparently a newbie as well and is playing an OC - 981 - and doing pretty well.

I also have 64 at insanejournal, though I'm not really using it.

I think everyone's doing really well - I wouldn't know who was new and who wasn't just from reading!

And I'll be playing the Master, since he's the one who won't shut up writing stuff in my head - not interested in writing Master Plan at the moment - he just wants to get out there and interact with real people. Which is incredibly scary because I'm sure I couldn't have chosen a more difficult character if I'd tried, but I seem to be actually developing a muse or something!
