I am so high. I was completely shaking after I sung it - could hardly walk - and really couldn't believe it when they announced I'd got the part, even though I'd worked out I had to because the other two people who auditioned for it had already been given other parts by that point... Can not believe it! :-)
Yeah, loads. It's basically what they call an 'ensemble' cast so there are 10 principals, who apart from Jesus are very even in the amount they get to do. They all act out a lot of different characters acting out the parables and things. And everyone's on stage pretty much the whole show.
My character is apparently a bit of a show-off, so I think she has a bit more to do than some of the others - I haven't managed to read the whole script yet - but I get the impression there's going to be a LOT of learning to do!
Yeah. To be honest, it's a little bit too religious for me, because I'm not at all religious, but the music and the whole idea and the story are definitely worth it.
Yeah, looks like I'll have to turn off my tingly atheist sense, and leave the Richard Dawkins at home, if I see it. Seems fun enough though! What's your character called, by the way?
Well, that's very sweet of you, but there's no 'of course' about it - they're a very good group with a very high standard.
Though I admit I was really pleased with how I sounded once I got up and sang. It sounded a lot better in the hall than it did here in the living room this morning. First time I've actually sung on my own in public in - God, I've lost track - about four or five years?!!
Thank you! I really, really didn't expect it to go that well, but as soon as I got up there the adrenalin started flowing and just carried me along! :-)

I really didn't think I could do it. I nearly chickened out when I got there and went for a different part!

This really is the first big part I've got in a company that's any good. It's really nice to know that I'm good enough.

Must admit I suck at auditions always do something to stuff them up so you have my deepest respect that you managed it so well.
Hope you have fun celebrating!!

And I sang loads of descants by myself at the carol-singing evening and they weren't too shoddy either!
It's amazing. I have never ever been in a group where I was the one who was best at getting the high notes!!!!! :-)
