So, my Guilty Pleasures Master/Jack/Doctor fic is finished and up to my flist for checking before being posted to comms, and it's time to get back to real life for a bit.

My aims for this weekend are:

1. Do meal planner for the next fortnight and do Tesco order for that and a few bits for Christmas.

2. Put up the decorations. (I've never put them up this early before, but Jack's going to love them and I think we all need a bit of cheering up this year.)

3. Do the online ordering for Christmas presents, because I've been very lazy about that so far.

4. Write the Christmas cards.

5. Have a look at the Godspell script and work on the acting audition pieces.

Tomorrow Jack has a 2nd birthday party to go to in the afternoon, and then it's my (belated) joint birthday dinner with my sister-in-law (whose birthday was the 5th) at Mum's in the evening.

And Andy had yesterday off and all to himself, and he's got Monday off too, so he's going to look after Jack and I should get at least a few hours to myself, which will be nice. Hopefully he's also going to take Jack out of the house for a bit so I can practice my singing and acting for the Godspell auditions that evening without anyone else around having to listen to me! :-)

ETA: Email's playing up again - hubby needs to make more room on the server AGAIN!

That sounds like a really busy day, as well as a really good one. Happy Birthday to Jack, a bit early, and I hope you get everything done you need done.

Oops! Sorry.

I'm fairly fortunate at this point in that my kids are capable of telling me what works, but two-three-four year olds are just the worst ever to shop for. They just. It's hit and miss (or was for me) if they'll TOUCH stuff, never mind play with it.

Oh, the blackboard's a good idea. I think we're done shopping, actually, but I haven't done the tree stuff yet, and really don't want to. Of course I will because the kids would be crushed but urgh. My cats are going to be impossible to keep out of the thing. *babbles*

I love Christmas. I also loathe it.

We always decorate our tree on the 24th. Has become some sort of family tradition, my aunt comes over every year with her boyfriend and then all of us decorate the tree and on the 25th my brother and sister come over (with their girl- and boyfriend) and we all get our presents. Used to hate it that I had to wait a day longer than every other child in this country to get my presents :D

Right, I think you mentioned not wanting Christmas cards, didn't you?

That list actually looked a lot like mine apart from the singing and acting stuff *g*. My Christmas preparations are sooooooo far behind! I made my husband's jaw drop the other day by suggesting we just chuck everything on his credit card and get it over and done with *So* not like me :O

And congrats on the getting the part you wanted - I spotted the news on my way down the page - I think I interpretted it correctly??
