1. I learned something last night. Posting a fic and getting really nice comments on it is a very good substitute for being warm (I didn't feel cold last night). :-)


2. mad_jaks has written a fascinating behind the scenes post about her Show and Tell, which for obvious reasons contains discussion about my Lessons Learned in the post and in the comments.

3. fandom_me has written an equally fascinating commentary on her Naked, and there is also a little bit more discussion about Lessons Learned and Show and Tell in the comments to that.

Jack wakes with a start, heart pounding. "What the…?"

The Doctor looks over at him, a bit green himself. "Nightmare?"

"Yeah. I dreamed we were – you know – just good friends. Nothing more!" Jack takes in the Doctor's expression and adds incredulously, "You too?"

A nod. "It's that unfeathered," the Doctor explains. "She wanted to try and write us without the slash."

Jack stares. "Why?"

"I don't know. Just to prove she could, I think."

"And now that she's proved it?"

Fortunately, the Doctor can see the past, present and future. He grins. "Normal service will be resumed very soon."


ETA: 5. I'm giving up on the part of my flist I didn't get to yesterday. I know I have fics to read by donutsweeper, laurab1 and omphalos so I will be going through your journals to read later, but if there's anything else anyone's written that they'd expect (or like) me to comment on that I haven't commented on, let me know! :-)

Bah, I just realised I'm on course this afternoon - equality and diversity training... bet that's going to be riveting! :-(

Actually, it turned out to be very interesting. We had three actors doing role-play and we had to sort of guide them to get their issues off their chests. Hard work but fascinating.

Glad the boiler part is arriving soon.

Mmm... nothing I'd expect comments on, just something that might be interesting... more so when I finish the blasted thing, so maybe waiting until later... I'm working on another LJ profile mock-up.. for Jack. For the Lieutenant to Chaos AU - the one with the story I asked you to beta, and I haven't updated, 'cause the muses are fickle, and want graphics. And I'm doing a tutorial to go with it. It's insane. And there's some snark to it in places. And it highlights all the interesting goodies of making the profile - pictures are good.
