Second draft is off to beta and I have a few minutes (don't know how many) before Jack wakes up to look through my flist. All four pages of it. Hmm.

ETA: I'm starting at the top, not the bottom as usual. That way I may actually have a chance of talking to people 'live'! *g*

In other news, it's bloody freezing and I want the new part for the boiler to turn up RIGHT NOW please!

ETA2: I don't think my email's working very well. I don't think it's just the notifications, I think it's normal mail too. So tell me here if you've sent me anything you think I haven't got! :-)

It's cold here, too. I think I'd die if our heating wouldn't worry. 'm sorry yours isn't working. Hope that'll change soon.

80 entries. I got partway down the first page before Jack woke up, or rather before I had to wake him because it was 4.30 and he'll never sleep tonight if I hadn't. Poor thing. He was all lovely and warm and cuddly. :-)

New part for the boiler is on the way. Any day now. *crosses fingers*

Exactly! *snickers* I know kids who are extremely cute, but the little ones in school I just want to throttle when they're running and screaming and yelling and I have to fight my way through the masses. Yeah. But kids, especially younger ones, can be very cute, too :D

I get that feeling when I look at the flist in the morning (it's much, much worse since I discovered SGA), and like you, I always start at the top. I'm sure I miss stuff, but people are just so chatty :D

Any day now we should get the new part...

Mum did offer their portable heater, but tbh until today it's been all right. It's a warm house (mid-terrace, double-glazed etc.) and it only gets really cold when you sit still for long periods, like at your computer editing your second draft according to your betas' comments... *g*

do you have a heating pad? You could put it on a low setting and sling it over your shoulders or on your back or something.

No heating pad, though there is one of those beanbag things you put in the microwave, if I can remember where it is - good idea!

And I don't want you to apologise for your comments - they were really good comments - I was just being tongue-in-cheek. Well, a bit, because making decisions about whether to change and how to change bits is by far the hardest part of writing for me and I'm extremely slow at it. But it's worth it in the end, I know!
