I think I started being surprised by how much time had passed me by when mu son got married. That got kicked into overdrive when he and my daughter-in-law welcomed their son, my grandson, into the world.

I was just talking with my friends a while ago how we're now somehow living in a world where everything happened 20 years ago...

(and that "20 years ago" is not in the 70's, even though my brain still wants to think so).
