Jack/Ianto fic is currently taking a bit of a back seat while I check out some of the background stuff people have linked me to and finish my S1 re-watch (Combat last night - better than I remembered, though I did skip through a lot of the Owen stuff as it was getting late and I wanted my bed) and consolidate my thoughts, because once I post this thing I don't want to have it Jossed by something else I get given a link for! :-D
In the meantime, I discovered/remembered that Rounds of Kink have an ongoing April Fool's round until the end of the month and there are some really yummy prompts and kinks there.
So I am now 1500 words into a Jack/Giles scene, which started off quite light but got hotter and somehow seems to be encompassing elements of all the kinks in the challenge!!! I am really hoping to get it finished in time to post it before the end of Thursday! Nothing like a looming deadline to make you actually knuckle down and write. At the moment it feels like it will need a fair bit of editing as I've just been getting it down without much editing as I go along but it's a lot more straightforward than the last one (which had a lot of complicated setting up for the whole series, plus unusual positions etc. I needed to make sure were conveyed to the reader) so I might get away without having it beta'd if I run out of time for that. We shall see!
