So, I've been avoiding Facebook and a lot of other social media for a few days, because it was just stressing me out, epecially all the useful suggestions for things you can fill your time with, because apparently we're all now supposed to have loads of extra time while we're stuck at home.
Except I haven't, because I normally spend most of my time at home anyway and nothing's slackened off except rehearsals and dancing, and getting my son to his rehearsals. And that time has been filled with extra checking up on my parents and setting up new systems for school stuff and dealing with things (like shows) that have been postponed and trying to access the groceries and household stuff we need because of all the panic buying - shopping has taken a LOT longer than normal the past two weeks!
And I was getting stressed about it all, so I've sworn off FB except for Etsy news and promotions and am reading the news less, and am hanging about on Dreamwidth again, because I feel *so* much better escaping in virtual worlds than living in the real one at the moment. Normally I'd worry about distancing myself from people too much, but I have two lovely people (husband and son) at home with me and I'm getting plenty of social interaction with emailing, phoning and Skyping my mum, so yeah, I'm not worried about that.
And so the last day or two, instead of stressing myself out reading about Coronavirus and lockdowns and shortages of loo rolls/Paracetamol/eggs/whatever, I've dug out Connection part 2 (Jack/Giles) that I was working on after Christmas until life steamrollered me again in January and since last night I've written almost 2,000 new words!!!!!
I've now gone from being stuck and unable to work out where to take it (and feeling stressed because it felt like it was going to need an awful lot more writing than I'd anticipated) to solving how to get them where I want them and actually getting them most of the way there! And wow, doesn't that feel good! :-)

Except I haven't
Yeah, I'm in the same position. I'm newly working from home, but the work hasn't changed at all, and I'm as busy as ever.
Congrats on the writing, that's great!

I work at home anyway, both my day job and my Etsy shop, so it really hasn't changed for me, except that there are more distractions around in the shape of hubby and son! :-D

Yes, fandom is a much, much better place to be right now!
