Merlin - S1 Eps 2 & 3

Loved these too! Lighthearted plots that kept moving nicely, loads of really charismatic, likeable actors, great chemistry between especially Arthur and Merlin but also Merlin and Gwen, Arthur and Morgana, and Merlin and Gaius. And Anthony Head being cool and awesome, and his character actually being given three dimensions (which I honestly didn't expect) and having to make the hard choices. Really, really loving it. :-)

Heh, I remember I watched the first episode absolutely ages ago, but never got around to more because it was the time when getting TV episodes wasn't so easy. I do remember I enjoyed it, though. I'd completely forgotten Anthony Head was in it, though!

Yeah, it was almost ten years ago, apparently! The first episode aired 21 June 2009! And yeah, I didn't have access to a lot of shows at that time either - I could have watched Merlin, presumably, as it's a British show, but I lost a lot of American shows for various reasons, plus I was busy being a mum, and roleplaying, and getting back into drama etc. etc. There are several shows from that era that I've never watched and always wished I had, some of which are even still going, like Supernatural! I've lost track of the number of Sams and Deans I've played with or read fics about, but I've still never seen an episode!

At least now I have a chance of remedying that with Merlin, at least. :-)

I remember watching s1 of Merlin all those years ago and enjoying it and the characters very much. I was up to my eyeballs in Torchwood fandom at the time - I read some Merlin fic, especially crossovers with TW, but not a lot.

I probably would have gotten more involved with the fandom if I hadn't already been completely consumed, because it was a nice, charming show.
