I think this may be one I really have to watch again before I really know how I feel about it. At the moment I felt it was rather anti-climactic and rambling for a season finale –it felt more like an epilogue to the season, without us ever having had a finale – and after the Doctor having achieved his absolution at the end of last week it felt like a step backward for him then to be ripping the universe apart to save Clara. Plus the hybrid thing pretty much went nowhere, or at the very most it was a set up for future trouble from the Clara/Me team. That said, there were a LOT of gorgeous moments – original TARDIS for one, and every moment Peter Capaldi was in for another. And it was fairly satisfying, overall.
Yeah, definitely going to need a rewatch.
