Friends list cull

In light of recent proposed changes by LJ, I've done some housekeeping on both DW and LJ. I've found most of the feeds I had on LJ and put them on DW instead, and I've added everyone I can find to my circle on DW and I've deleted them on my LJ flist. And from now on DW will be where I start reading. I'll still crosspost everything to LJ (as much as I do post these days, at least, which isn't much!) but I'm going to visit LJ as little as humanly possible.

Thankfully, my RP game has moved across to IJ too, so there really will be very little need for me to use the dreadful new LJ flist from now on!

I've also reinstated my paid account at DW so I've got all my lovely icons back! :-)

So here we go. Here's to a new era at Dreamwidth!

For all the stirs it's created for itself in the past, this time it feels like LJ really did itself some damage as far as truly alienating users.

Yeah, I can't help feeling (hoping?) this might be the last straw for a few more people as well as me.

It's such a shame, though. LJ's been my home for 5 1/2 years and it's sad to see it growing so far away from what it used to be. :-(
