Bad news, I'm afraid. Master Plan has pretty much ground to a halt for the time being. Partly because what's left of the chapter that I need to write is rather complicated and subtle for me, and that's not easy and I'm tired and just don't seem to have the brainpower to tackle it right now. Hopefully, once my show's over I'll perk up again and find my brain able to work on it again.

The other reason is that my viewing has finally reach the 'Jack' episodes of DW S1 and has therefore got me distracted by thinking about the relationships between Jack, the Doctor and Rose. I've started a piece of meta about that, which involved me having to go back and watch TEC and TDD again (oh, what hardship!) and hopefully I'll have to time to get onto Boom Town today or tomorrow - though tomorrow's more likely. But then I've still got the last two episodes to go, which I haven't rewatched at all yet, so that'll probably be two viewings as well, one for episode review and one for the meta. So it's going to be a few more days before I've got that out of the way.

After that, I'll have another watch of one or both of the 'Master' episodes and hopefully get back on track with Master Plan. And it'll probably be a lot better after a break anyway.

I would think that your brain might be a little too tired for Master Plan right now! Take your time, we'll still be here. *g*

I love that you're wanting to play with the relationship between Nine, Jack, and Rose.

Ooh, I'm looking forward to that. You know, it's funny: Nine/Rose made me uncomfortable even before fandom got a little crazy over it, but I like Nine/Jack/Rose. Jack makes everything better, I guess. *g* But Nine/Jack and Rose is best.

Eh, that sort of thing happens. Eventually you'll get back to it, and when you do you're mind'll be in a better place for it. Never try to write something when you're mind's not ready for it, it won't come out any good.

I hope it was nothing I- *squishes black thought into its cage*
It's not surprising you're tired - you've had a mega busy week! A change is as good as rest as the say and Nine/Jack Rose is very *shiny*

I've friended you btw hope that's okay?

I came looking for this one now I know I'm not getting notifications (I'm beginning wonder how many I've *not* had over the last couple of days)

it wasn't anything you said!
I *know* that - put it down to natural paranoia fuelled by the total lack of anything in my inbox *sobs*

should have slept instead
You so should have but when something's got hold of you that hard it is hard to *not* succumb.

I'm about to friend you back
aww look you did too :)

Rest, have fun, and get back to the story when you can. 'Sides, if you work on anything with Nine in it, I know I'll read it. Though I'll grant, I'm not entirely sure about Nine/Jack in and of itself, it's always fun with Nine/Jack & Rose... or Nine/Jack & other... I'm liking Rose less and less as time goes on, with some rare exceptions. Which is entirely irrelevent, but... *shrugs*

So, you'll get back to Master Plan when you get back to it, and in the mean time, there's other interesting and neat stuff to read if I keep up with my flist... *decides she's going to go on a Nine/Jack fic hunt again*

I just feel bad about MP because I hate people who post WIPs and then get bored and go and do something else and leave their readers hanging, and I don't want to be one of them!

I understand that... and I know I'm guilty of doing something like that, but usually not because I get bored, just that when I start writing something long, it tends to generate more ideas than I can fit in a single story, and I end up taking a break just so I can plan out what all the heck I'm doing with everything... Though I'm trying harder to leave chapters where they can be left for months while I get things sorted.

As for other people's fic, I can't offer anything in the way of Nine/Jack and Rose, but if you're happy with just Nine/Jack I can strongly recommend Naked and Dumb Luck and both their follow-ups by [livejournal.com profile] becky_writing, as well as virtually everything else she's ever written. :-)

I don't know that I've read those particular stories, but I know I've read some of hers, and I enjoy hers... just don't always get enough reaction to write a review. Hmm. Shall have to see if I can remember to do that... either that, of actually finish my list of fics I've bookmarked, and post that to my LJ....

And I've just realised I never got back to you about your own fic. Sorry. Too much going on at the moment!

'S all right. I've been revamping the first chapter a bit, adding to the second chapter, and writing bits of other stuff in the AU... not to mention, one of my original worlds is calling, and the main muse for it is perfectly willing to bash the Master over the head so she can get some writing time. And I think she actually has, seeing as he's not in his chair, and there's a rather... Master-shaped bundle of duct-tape against the wall of the lounge.

Mind you, I should warn you that grammar and punctuation are my real speciality, beta-wise - I'm not sure how hot I am on structure etc.

You certainly gave me something to think about with the first chapter, which resulted in it getting a bit longer, and loosing the scene with the Doctor and his new companions.... which I'm thinking will be getting it's own story in the AU...

And a question... would you be able, an' willing, to Brit-pick for idiom and accent for an original 'verse?

It's several, I'll go put you on the "original fiction" filter so you can read them directly on LJ... the "Max & Vain" tag, in particular Vain and Max themselves. The rest are American or in the case of Judge Solfi, well-traveled enough to have lost their original accent.

Yes, that tag, and comments work just fine. I'm more likely to notice comments than emails, actually, 'cause I only check my email once a week, if I remember to.
