Start of a new era at Dreamwidth

Right. Now that all the kerfuffle of Christmas is over (and so is the very nasty upper airway infection I came down with during it) I've finally got round to properly transferring my main activity over to Dreamwidth, something I've been dying to do ever since LJ made those stupid changes to commenting. Conveniently, my paid account there expires today, so it's all worked out rather neatly!

And oh, how lovely it is to have nice big text to look at while I write this post, and to be able to comment normally again!

Anyway. Just wanted to say that I've imported everything from my LJ account and also everything from my fic comm to a copy here at Dreamwidth, and from now on, whilst I'll still obviously read my flist over at LJ, anything I *can* do here at DW instead, I *will*! Obviously I still have a lot of tidying up and formatting etc. to do here, but the journal and comm are useable and that's what matters.

So if you have an account here and I haven't subscribed to you, let me know and I'll do so. :-)

Welcome over to Dreamwidth! I really do find it more comfortable over here than LJ, not least because of the demonstrated commitment of management to communicate and consult with their users.

And yay, someone else I can remove from LJ! There's already more activity on my circle over here than my LJ f-list.

Oh, yes, having people in charge who seem to actually *listen* to their users is definitely a HUGE improvement! :-)

I shall need to spend some time properly exploring and finding some replacement comms and so on, but yes, it definitely feels more comfortable here.
