On writing the Master (yet again!)

I was complimenting _medley_ last night (here) on the way she gets the Master and the Doctor talking so realistically and so entertainingly, and the fact that I can't seem to get them talking for long.

And I had a think about that, and I did actually write a few conversations I was pretty proud of in the earlier parts of Master Plan. The problem is, now the Master has de-aged the Doctor, all he wants to do is flirt with him. And get in his pants.

I don't know how much of that is the Master and how much of it is just me! *g*

Oh, I think any character we write has at least a TINY bit of us in them. :-)

Like, if I were writing someone who's reading the story, she would be SO FREAKIN' IMPATIENT FOR ANOTHER CHAPTER...

I'm sorry. It's an extra-long Christmas-special chapter (currently 5,200 words) and still has a long way to go. Plus, you may have noticed, I do have a few other things going on for the next week or so! *g*

(Only just got back from a four-hour technical rehearsal - on a Friday night! Oh, that was fun.)

Will have short Key fic up tomorrow, though, when it comes back from Jades.

It didn't sound bratty. It's nice to know people are looking forward to reading my fics. Very nice. :-)
