Ask me what happens after the end of one of my stories. I may have more than one answer depending on the story (and the question). Or tell me your own theories--really, I'd love to hear!
Yes, I know most of mine are either drabbles or chapters of Master Plan but things did happen between the chapters so you can ask about those if you want.
Replies will be tomorrow. I'm going to bed now. :-)

Sorry, were you expecting something less obvious? *g*
It's already written in first draft but I haven't looked at it since I started Master Plan because at least Connection reads as finished at the moment so I can leave it till I have time to do the series I originally planned. Whereas if I get sidetracked from Master Plan, that'll leave a lot of people hanging! :-)

Anyway, won't work. I'm sticking to Master Plan for the moment, plus the Halloween thing and the Big Bang thing when (if) I get a lull. *g*

Jack gives the Doctor one of those brilliant, beaming, room-brightening grins of his and puts the key away very carefully in his pocket, his fingers lingering round it just for a moment before he pulls them free.
He draws breath and half-opens his mouth, perhaps to comment on what it says about the Master that he'd keep a key to a TARDIS he already has access to in his pocket for a year, but then he closes it again; doesn't say it. Inclines his head to the Doctor and goes off to see if Martha needs any help instead.
-------------------
Actually, I just realised, the Master would've had to change the locks on the TARDIS so Jack's key wouldn't work as a key anyway.
Also... when I originally wrote that drabble, I honestly couldn't remember what happened to Jack's key. So I made a point of looking when I rewatched TSOD the other day, and actually Jack's still wearing it right till the end of the episode. Yet the soldiers and everyone can obviously see him, so presumably once the 'spell' is broken, it stays broken.

Huh. Funny that the Master would let him keep it, whether it worked or not.

Hmmm. *Ponders whether she can insert a flashback to the Master removing it somewhere in Master Plan...*
no subject
Ooh, flashback. That could be fun...
no subject
Yeah, I think I'm going to have to try and get that in there somewhere...

Eh. I'm going to have to get him an icon, even though I've run out of room for icons, and am not willing to pony up the money to get more. At least I'll have it for if/when I do decide I want to pay for more icons. None of that last having anything to do with what I'm curious about, merely the muse that's taken over my head.

And I know what you mean about icons. I'm trying really hard not to fill up my new paid-for (by my anonymous friend) icon space too quickly but they're so seductive!

-----------------
Having realised Jack's been playing me all this time, that he had the audacity to think he could get away with it, I get a lot harder on him. I don't waste time killing him, not until I find a way to make him agree to collaborate with me on my comparative deaths study, but when I'm fucking him – arse or mouth – I'm rougher, push him further, demanding complete and utter submission. And I force him to enjoy it. Because part of him – the primitive, needy part – always responds to being dominated. He always fights it. And I always win.

I would do one for the Doctor too, but I think I covered that pretty well in Part 5.

Ooo, drabble! Coolness. And it does answer the question of what happened.

Yeah... I was more interested in what the Master did to Jack in between, really. And Mr. IaEG is smirking, while at the same time muttering that he won't be treating Jack like that in "Time, Chaos, and the Universal Constant"... but the dynamic is different there. Not that he cares to hear that in response to him stating the obvious. *snorts*

It's amazing how many different dynamics you can get between - well, between all three of them - and yet still be believable. I think every Year of Hell fic I've read has a different dynamic. I suppose partly because there's so very little to go on in canon, especially for Master/Jack.
It's fascinating.

It's disturbing, though, watching them develop this, even though all out of order, the sneaky bastards. This is the second story Jack's trying to tell me out of order, only this time, he's not the only one.
Mm. Anyway, I shouldn't ramble on quite so much about my muses on your journal... I do enough rambling about them on mine here and there. Most lately, on the subject of the Master and the bloody evil plot bunny he's encouraging.
no subject
And ramble away. I always seem to ramble more in other people's journals than I do my own... *g*
no subject
*grins* When given an opportunity to talk about my writing, I tend to ramble myself, though I try to restrain myself when I'm in someone else's space. Good manners and all that. Though if invited, I may ramble more. *chuckles* Or let Mr. IAEG ramble, if he chooses... though that could be dangerous.
no subject
The Master is an evil genius, and Jack... *grins* Well, let's just say the Doctor isnnit happy with him or me. Or the Master, but he kinda expects the Master to be a mad bastard.
