...to his Christmas party?

I want to get him out of his standard black suit and into something a bit more festive, but I'm not sure what.

All I've come up with so far is a silk shirt (though I don't know what colour - red? Grey? Purple?) and tight shiny black trousers. But then I thought that made him sound like a gypsy. So I don't know. Men are so much more difficult to dress up than women!

I do need there to be tight trousers, though. I have the Doctor (and Jack!) checking out his bum in them. *g*

Any thoughts, oh helpful flist?

What about a red (or christmasy colored) waistcoat instead? I can totally see Saxon being a little bizarre and getting totally into the spirit of the season.

And I can't wait to read about it!!!!

*pouts* (feel free to ignore me now, I'm just grumpy that my Old Man fic has stalled completely)

It's a two-fold problem. Currently my SGA/TW universe is all shiny and new and calling to me (I wrote 2000 words in it yesterday!) and that scene I sent you is scaring me a little, it's a little daunting to try to figure out how to get there. I'm still trying to take cracks at it though, I'll get there eventually.

My SGA?TW obsession is all Jades fault. I mentioned the idea that got me interested in that universe and she jumped on it so I just had to write it for her. *sigh* Although you did ask about the wooden box and why Jack was so protective of it... hmmm...

I can see quite a tacky Christmas waistcoat, yes, and maybe a tie with Santas on it. Also? Red socks.

He knows he's hot, because he's been torturing Jack and the Doctor all year and they're STILL checking out his bum!

Mmm... thoughts? *bats her Master-muse away from the keyboard*

Shirt under waistcoat... green or white... the waistcoat ideas from the others I'll second (third?), as does Mr. "I'm An Evil Genius" over here. *keeps a firm grip on her keyboard with one hand*

Personally, I keep thinking back to him just after he regenerates, and thinking that if it was a bit more fitted to his frame, he'd look damned good in that outfit. Prolly why the concept of waistcoat, even tacky Christmas-decorated, sounds appealing here.

*holds onto her keyboard very tightly* I refereed an arguement about that in my head earlier. *chuckles* That, and the Master keeps letting out the plot bunny the Doctor is trying to lock in a cage.

It's not just that the waistcoat reminds me of Yana's outfit, in my case, it's that I thought the Master looked damned fine in it when he regenerated. Though that makes the bloody muse preen smugly. He's going to drive me nuts, he is. *pauses* Um. More than usual, anyway.

You sound like you're having a difficult time with the Master in your head.

He's being far more... managable, this morning, at the least. Probably because I tackled the plot bunny he let out of the cage. Which definately has fangs, and is an evil, vicious little beast. Fun, though disjointed. Shall have to post the first bits once I get some more packing done.

I'm lucky in that characters only seem to speak through me, not too me. Must be jolly distracting!

They can be distracting, but it's easier to picture the muses as people in my head, in a lounge, when I'm not actively writing, because it seperates the writing-state from the rest of my life. Mostly, anyway.

'Cause when I write, it doesn't feel like I'm listening to a story and writing it down, but writing down a story I've lived, even though I write third-person. It's even more so when the story calls for first-person, though I don't do that as often.

Oh yeah, I didn't mean to imply he didn't look good in Yana's outfit. I just meant that was why it felt right to us!

And yeah, I think that is probably the reason that the waistcoat idea sounds so appealing to all of us.
