1. More has been nominated for a Children of Time Award! Thank you to whoever nominated it! I have to admit, I'm overwhelmed by the response to that one. Yes, I know it's Jack/Ianto and therefore going to be popular (though I did wonder if the Jack/Doctor element would put some of them off) and that I've started posting to torchwood_fic so I'm getting more responses anyway, but... yeah. It's really nice. :-)

2. Authors have been revealed at 3_ships, so I can now point you to the fic I wrote: What You Want - or at my fic journal here. I still need to go and do some commenting on other people's fics, actuallly - I read them at work but couldn't comment from there.

I have to admit that I am extremely pleased with that fic, so it's really nice that other people like it too!

And definitely, the complication of the Doctor being inserted (heh) into it makes it far more interesting, but as I said, I did wonder if that would make it too gritty and anti-'Jack/Ianto true love and celibacy' for the shippers. *g*

Who gives a flying fuck if it did? Torchwood fandom is not just about 'Janto' *makes retching noises*. I do wish people wouldn't refer to the ship like that, it bugs the hell out of me bad style. They are Jack and Ianto, they both have names so why can't they be used, dammit.

I haven't done any nominations in the Children of Time awards, my brain was hurting too much so I think this is a good indication of how much people have liked that fic (I didn't nom it for the forbidden awards either, someone beat me to it!).

Oh goodness, I didn't mean to imply that I cared if they liked it or not! *G*

I was writing it for Mecca anyway, so it was very firmly taylored towards her tastes (I even tried to get Ianto to top because that's how she normally writes, but it just didn't happen).

I just didn't expect the shippers to like it, because of all that!

And wow, I didn't even notice it had been nominated for the Forbidden Awards, so thanks for bringing that to my attention! :-)

It will be interesting to see how the forbidden awards spin out. Just being nominated made my day and although I know it won't be me who wins (have you seen who else is in the crossover cat?) it will be interesting to see who does. Would be nice if it wasn't a 'big name' and nicer if it was someone I nominated!

The only name I know in the same category as A Little Matter of Life and Death is Litgal, who, yeah. Loads of followers. She'll definitely beat me there!

I don't really know any of the others in the same category as The Mystery We Are.

And oooh, I'm up against Becky and Gaynor with More!

Oh, and you've got Becky again with your Pas de Trois. Hmmm.

Oh well, I'm really not bothered about winning awards, because it really is just about the size of your fanbase anyway, isn't it? I mean, I'm sure VERY few people actually get round to reading all the stories in a category they vote for!

If nothing else you should go read Trying to Communicate the Torchwood/LOLcats one. It's very silly, but really good fun. And short.
