Right. First entry is out of the way, so let’s use the second one to spell out what I hope to use this journal for.

 

1. Buffy and Angel reviews.

 

I’ve been writing these since way back in autumn 2002, when BBC2 started showing Buffy Season 6.  I’d already seen it (and all the previous seasons) on Sky One, and had posted reviews on the BBC message board I then frequented (to avoid being spoiled on a US one) but never save them (DUH!). Anyway, I then wrote reviews (with scores, because I like statistics) for the rest of Buffy and Angel, and for a rewatch of both which I’m sad to say is still ongoing.

 

And yes, I know it’s extremely sad to take over four years for a complete rewatch, but real life, in the form of pregnancy and then baby, really has got in the way! Also, like most writers, I tend to put off actually writing the reviews and since I won’t allow myself to watch the next episode until I’ve written up the last, that leads to usually several days between episodes. Though actually, that’s pretty much all the time I have these days anyway!

 

2. Reviews/comments of other shows.

 

So far there have been no other shows I’ve written reviews for, apart from Firefly, and I only got halfway through the season last time round. But I do like to comment on episodes I’ve enjoyed, or not enjoyed, so this is somewhere to do that. And I wouldn’t be surprised if I end up reviewing Torchwood next season, because I nearly did this year.

 

Shows I’m watching at the moment: Bones, Lost, and Dead Like Me (which hubby and I recently discovered and are watching from the beginning). And when they return, we’ll also be watching Cold Case, Doctor Who and Torchwood. And there may well be others I can’t think of at this instant.

 

3. My own fanfic and original fic.

 

I don’t expect to be posting any of this for a while yet, but there are a few nearly-finished Buffy/Angel fics lurking on my hard drive that this journal might just be the catalyst to make me finish them. You never know J

 

As for original fic, I’m not intending to post anything I hope someday to get published properly, ‘cos that would just be stupid. But there is one very long story I’ve been writing just for my own enjoyment but which I think is really good and would like to share, so maybe one day, if I’m brave enough… 

So there we go.  At some point really soon, I'll post a review, but right now I'm off to watch some Angel, (3.8 Quickening, if you want to know).
