I've had such a productive day, and it's made me feel really good. It's not often I have much energy,

- done two loads of washing
- cleaned out and cleared out most of my kitchen cupboards
- put loads of stuff from the clear-out on Freecycle and found takers for all of it
- tried out my new hand-held blender twice
- done the washing up
- fed myself and my family
- cleaned up the dining table and Jack's high-chair properly (instead of a quick sweep-up of crumbs)
- done over half a huge pile of ironing
- and found time to sit and play with Jack and take him down the shops and the playground on the way back

I'm feeling pretty damn pleased with myself.

And I have Harry Potter to look forward to in an hour or so when I've finished up on here.

On a different note, last night I watched My Stepmother Is An Alien for the first time (with hubby, who'd seen it several times before) and I really enjoyed it. OK, it's not deep, but it's lighthearted and amusing and feel-good, with likeable characters, and that's what I want most these days! Nothing too heavy or deep or dark.

(For some reason, I can cope with that in books/stories, but not in films. Don't know why.)

And OMG how cute was Alyson Hannigan!?! And Seth Green! He looked about eight! (Apparently they were both fourteen, but she looked loads older than him.)

Glad I've seen it.
