1. I'm downstairs on the sofa to avoid Andy's snoring and I can still hear him.

2. I'm too hot and I have restless leg syndrome.

3. PMT (oh yeah, forgot about that one, didn't I?) - I never sleep well at this time of the month.

4. I'm a bit worried about all the driving I've got to do, not so much tomorrow but Wednesday.

5. It's a long time since I spent a night away from home and I suddenly realised I hadn't thought about all the stuff I had to pack and do before I went, so my brain is busy busy busy.

Can't do anything about the first four, but at least I can sit here and make a list. And make notes for Mum, because she hasn't had Jack overnight for over a year and things have changed. And maybe then I'll get enough done that I can have a nap when Jack does before we go tomorrow.

I'm trying to scrape Melody off the ceiling. She's a little excited over her birthday.

I'm relishing today- it was the last day the kids were in school. It's summer break now

I wrote her some crackiness

Kids here have about 3 months off. They go back the day after labor day, which is the first Monday in September.

In MN they get a few 3 day weekends here and there, 4 days off for thanksgiving (4 week of Nov), 2 weeks off for winter break and one week off for spring break (usually late March) Over all the school year is about 180 days or so

probably, it's not like we want our kids to be in school long enough to be educated or anything... *sigh*

Although, playing is not such a bad thing. All things considered

Boo ya!
Insomniacs united *g*

Oh i hear you on 3. I nearly had a full blown argument, well okay mainly a rant on my behalf at my partner over what yoghurt he bought for our son's packed lunches earlier on. I mean WTF?

I hope the break does you both good.. *smooshes*
*trots back to whoville*

Good Luck with your trip! Maybe some cocoa or hot milk could help w/the insomnia?

Offers a virtual hot water bottle for aches and pains.

When I'm too hot I put a cold washcloth on the back of my neck and it often works.

Just lying down in bed with your eyes closed even if you aren't asleep can be restful.

I'd lend you my ear protectors that I wear to the firing range (to block out the snoring) but I fear the postage would be too expensive. (Just a joke.)
