Wow. I like Stephen Moffat. I am so looking forward to next year!
That was just... fantastic. A bit scary, tbh, for me, but really making you think, and referencing stuff all over the place (loved the stuff about 'spoilers', and the 51st century and the squareness gun and and and) and the little girl was great, and as for Alex Kingston's character... I am so looking forward to finding out what that's all about!
It's about time they played about with the fact that the Doctor is a time-traveller. Definitely time. This has the potential to be really, really fascinating.
Plus, she was feisty. A great character so far.

Real life stuff: We went to the fair today. It wasn't open when we went into town this morning, so we had an early dinner and then went back about 6.30. And Jack loved it. We've been looking forward to him being old enough for fairs ever since I got pregnant, because it's just such a wonderful part of childhood, and this year he's old enough. He went on a Bob the Builder truck ride, the chairoplanes, the teacups, the dodgems (with Andy) and a bigger ride with me - a round-and-round-and-up-and-down one, which I wouldn't never have let him go on if I'd realised how fast it was going to go, but he loved it! It was really, really good fun.

Becky and I have giggled before, wondering what Canon!Doctor's reaction would be if he ever saw Jack's screwdriver. So that just added that bit, for me.

It was the little parallel of her saying he's made it for her, and him getting wierded out because he doesn't remember it/doesn't know what it means that tickled me.

And ah, yes, definitely, the having made it for her. But then, there was such a lot of fanfic-type stuff in this episode, it doesn't really surprise me. In fact, this whole season seems to be just borrowing from our stuff.
Hmmm. So now we've had your Doctor's speech about having had a family but they're all gone, and the Doctor having made someone a screwdriver... Maybe the writers are actually reading Whoville? *g*

I would love it if they did.

Or maybe I'm just used to people having screwdrivers everywhere, because of Whoville... *g*

And the episode was awesome wasn't it? I don't think I've spotted anyone being really negative (not that I've looked that hard you understand...)
