Reaction/Review of Torchwood 2.2

I quite liked it. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible either.

The characters all got a decent amount of screen time, and there was some wonderful banter. (Owen’s “Let’s all have sex” because the world was ending springs to mind particularly – some writers have obviously been reading fanfic! *g*)

There was a bit too much Gwen emoting with Beth, but I’m still liking Gwen this season, so I didn’t mind as much as I would have done last season. And I am adoring Ianto this season. He’s gone from being the one I didn’t even notice last season to my second favourite after Jack this season! Great interplay between the two of them too.

I liked the idea of the sleeper agents, but the actual story didn’t really grab me. Neither did Beth. I’m not quite sure why: I liked the way she loved her husband and didn’t want them to let her hurt anyone or turn into a monster, but, I don’t know – I think she took it all in a bit quickly? Accepted that she was an alien too easily? Not sure.

Oh, and Beth in Jack’s drawer in cold storage… Presumably they actually only have two drawers that work. Or was it just that they use them in order so that one will keep getting used until someone actually stays in it? *g*
