(OK, last post today, I promise... *g*)
Nicked off

Favorite story this year: Constant (Jack/Tenth Doctor) NC-17 – 3,335 words. I am really, really proud of this story. It's nothing ground-breaking, but it just came pouring out of my head in about three days flat and I can still read it and feel there's absolutely nothing I want to change.
My best story this year: Connection (Jack/Giles) R - 3,797 words. The first story I ever finished and posted, back in August. I haven't re-read it for a while, but the last time I did I was really pleased with it, and it's got a hell of a lot of compliments from other people. And one day, I really will get on with writing some more in that 'verse.
Most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Coming Home (Jack/Giles) PG-13 – drabble (follow-up to Connection). I'm only calling it underappreciated because it didn't get many comments -
donutsweeper, whose request it was, certainly squeed enough for twenty people. *g* I was also proud of it because it was my first (and only, so far) dialogue-only fic.
Most fun story: WTF? (Jack/Tenth Doctor) PG - drabble. Just a bit of silliness in the aftermath of Drowning Sorrows, but it made me giggle to write it.
Sexiest story: Blind (Jack/Master/Ten) NC-17 - 4,028 words. Written for the Guilty Pleasures Fest. It's totally and utterly what I wanted to write; it's hot and kinky and actually developed a bit of a plot too. Unbeta'd and I'm very happy with it.
"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: Master Plan – Part 5 (The Master/Jack) NC-17 – 4,900 words. This came out much darker than I expected, because I let the Master take over, and it freaked me out rather. Still very pleased with it though.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: Stupid (Ninth Doctor) G - drabble. This was my first attempt at writing Nine and it's when I suddenly found a handle on him.
Hardest story to write: Just Good Friends (Jack, Rose) PG-13 - 1435 words. This is the only story I have ever sent to beta and then completely re-written. It took a weekend of emailing back and forth with
mad_jaks to get my characterisation of S1 Jack sorted out, and it was hard work, but with her help I got there in the end, and I am really, really proud of the result.
Biggest disappointment: That'll be my Jack/Jack one. Not because it was crap, but because of it getting all tangled up in my head with the time depression hit again and me still not feeling I can go back and edit it yet because it just has all those associations. I really do want to, because it was hot and I want to share it, but I just need to feel stronger than I do right now before I can look at it again.
Biggest surprise: Snow-White and Rose-Red (Lucy Saxon/Drusilla) PG-13 – drabble. Never, ever thought I'd write femmeslash. Did, though. :-)
Most telling story: Lessons Learned (Jack/Ninth Doctor) NC-17 - 3688 words. Ironically, I did learn lessons from Lessons Learned. The most important being that just because I'm writing about sex doesn't mean I'm going to find that sex particularly hot, if the POV character isn't. Should have been obvious; wasn't. Lesson learned. :-)
A story I want remembered: Not The One (Lorne, Tenth Doctor) G - 613 words. Bit of a weird choice, this one. It was written for the Timestamp Meme (as a follow-up to Save Me From the Monsters, both requested by
morgynleri_fic), and I just love where it ended up. It wrote itself in the second person, and it's scary and has some really cool bits in it that just came out of nowhere, and it's different. And it made me like Lorne.
I also want to mention the Immortality's Bitch series, because I'm really proud of it and it didn't fit into any of the categories above.

And... I think I've read pretty much everything you listed here. I'll have a look through, see if there's anything I missed.

But... soon. I promise.
Nice that you've read everything else, though! Very flattering! :-)

And yeah. Wasn't as hard as I thought, once I'd got going.

It was my first time writing Jack, though - and Giles, now I come to think of it - so yeah, still pretty impressive! :-)

Hope things come together on the writing and other fronts soon - here's to good things in 2008 :)

And yeah, all of these lists are going in my memories because there is not one that I've read everything on. Yes, even Becky's! *g*
Hope your writing comes together too. Virtually everyone seems to be suffering at the moment.

And I didn't mean to make you entirely rewrite it honest (but it really was entirely worth the extra effort wasn't it? *G*)
*hugs and kisses*

And it was totally worth it in the end. Totally. The first draft was rubbishy compared to the end result. (Just hope Jack/Jack will be worth the effort in the end too... *g*)
*hugs back*

And Jack/Jack will be too *nods* yes indeed
