OMG, I can't even imagine that! I mean, 'TARDIS-like' is pretty much a common phrase in Britain, isn't it? It comes up everywhere. It's so hard to imagine not knowing about that!
And thank you for the El Sandifer link - I've read quite a lot of her stuff but it was a loooong time ago and I've no idea if I ever read this one, so will give it a look!
