More random thoughts (mainly from reading other people's thoughts), following on from my reaction post yesterday:
1. The Daleks followed the Chibnall trend of being a particularly unthreatening threat. Didn't find myself anywhere near wanting to cower behind the sofa with this one!
2. The Doctor's talk with Ryan about who she is now was quite sweet but a) I found absolutely no indication during the prison scenes that she was dwelling on the Timeless Child stuff (so much so that I completely forgot about it!) and b) what was the point of that whole revelation if she's just going to be comfortable being herself anyway???
3. Although perhaps she was supposed to have been dwelling on the Timeless Child stuff in prison and that was why she was okay with hanging around there for so long (I read somewhere that she did actually say decades – and Jack said at least 19 years???) without apparently doing anything whatsoever to try and escape? But as far as I remember there was no indication of this on-screen.
3. Graham and Ryan leaving – I forgot to mention how sad I was to see Graham go. Ryan too, obviously, but to be honest while Ryan's very sweet I've never felt much connection to him whereas Graham wears his heart on his sleeve and says the stuff no-one else will (even if he's a bit of a worry wart sometimes) and, I don't know, perhaps it's just that as an older viewer I relate to him more but I also felt he was the only one of the gang with any real character! So I shall miss him, but I'm also looking forward to Yaz getting more character development and dealing with her Doctor crush.
4. Not my idea but: the 5 bar gates on the Doctor's cell walls were actually Silence marks… :-D (Loved the Doctor's throwaway, "Oh hello, forgot you were there!" line to the Silent!)

In other news, after many years' resistance, I have finally joined Reddit because that's the one place (apart from Tumblr, which I still just can't get my head around) where fandom seems to be actually active! If you ever want to find me on there, I am now UnfeatheredAngel there, because there was apparently already a deleted account for Unfeathered. I'm now wondering if that was me at some point over the last decade…!
