Really nice. Possibly a bit too much Jackie even for me – she's grown on me over the years, as have Rose and Micky – but this certainly got her character down to a T, and I absolutely adore the interaction between her and Captain Jack. She totally brings out the worst of the flirt in him, right before smacking him down. I'd almost like to see more of them together, it's such fun.

Interesting point near the end where she asks him how long he's been waiting for the Doctor and he says 170 years! From my calculations, 1869 to 2007 is 138 years, so not sure where they got that figure from, unless they're implying he hung around in the year 100,000 for another 32 years before trying to find the Doctor! (Which would also make it even less likely that he wouldn't notice he wasn't ageing much or at all until he got shot through the heart in 1892! I mean, okay, good genes and maybe people live a lot longer by the 51st century, but still…)

Also it seemed like it was trying to imply that there was nothing sexual going on between Jack and the Doctor, although clearly a lot of love on Jack's part. To be honest, I'm not as upset by that as I once would have been as these days I tend to play canon!Jack as not having actually been in a relationship with the Doctor, but it was interesting that this story actually went there and stated it didn't happen. Well, except that of course Jack has never been at all a reliable narrator, so he could be lying, perhaps to try and hide just how deep his thing went with the Doctor. Definitely something to think about anyway.
