Bloody hell. I thought the bomb guy in the first ep was bad. And then I thought the lady squashed in a car was horrific. (Almost like being buried alive, which has been a longstanding terror of mine.) But this? People being burned alive – hundreds and hundreds of them? Not to mention that it's Vera, and Gwen's dad. Bloody hell. I mean, if it does mean that people with no hope (like bomb guy and car lady) would actually die then, okay, fair enough, in a way it's a practical solution and at least would put them out of their misery. But in a world where no-one at all dies, it can't possibly be that simple. Their conscious can't be gone like that because that would be death and that's too simple a way to combat the 'miracle'. So if they're still conscious, even when their bodies are just tiny, tiny ashes….. Gah. *shivers hard*

Apart from that, I liked Jack more in this (though I still don't feel we're getting enough actual TW and I keep forgetting that that's officially what I'm watching), and I loved Rhys. I loved Vera too until she got so bloody stupid, and I'm even warming to Rex. Esther's still cute but boring. Loved Jilly. Um… Think that's about all, actually. This one really kept me on the edge of my seat – and is making it hard to calm down enough to go to bed, which I really need to do as I have work tomorrow – and I can't wait till next week to find out what new twists they're going to inflict on us then, but… *shudders again* Scary, scary thoughts. I really, really want some aliens to show up that the team can actually fight, because that'd be a hell of a lot easier than fighting humanity.
