Follow-up here.

Listen and Learn

The worst thing is that Spike won't stop talking. Every dawn he waltzes into the basement and regales Jack with the story of his night. The conquests he's made, the fights he's got into, the people he's killed. And lots of moaning about someone called Dru.

It makes Jack wish violently that his chains were long enough for his hands to cover his ears. As it is, he has no choice but to listen.

Mind you, Spike's chatter does help him learn his captor's weaknesses – ADHD, not all that bright, obsessive. And highly sexed. And accordingly, he makes a plan.

Seduction

"You smell lovely," Spike murmurs, his nose buried in the crook of Jack's shoulder. "Such a smell of life about you. And your blood…"

He's even more horny tonight. If he's telling the truth, he hasn't fucked anyone for over a week. It's time.

"No sex again?" Jack asks, mock sympathetic. "I'd offer but-" He rattles his chains.

Spike's head goes up, blue eyes bright with interest.

"Not offering you my ass," Jack warns, and grins seductively. "But if you'll let me down, I'll show you exactly what I can do with my mouth."

He's out of there two minutes later.

I know about > < that much Buffy - and this still made me grin like a fool. Jack sounds like Jack and Spike sounds EXACTLY like I remember from my little bits of canon knowledge. I just. Love it. The whole chattering and planning and then using sex to get out. It's AWESOME.

Ooh, Jack planning while Spike chatters on--I love that. Heh--how could Spike resist? He never stood a chance. *eg*

I KNEW you had more to write about Spike!!!!!

He's out of there two minutes later.

and probably laughing his ass off the whole way.... (Although I am curious what he says to his team when he finally returns to Torchwood, methinks he might be a wee bit upset with them)

Anyway, whichever team it was, they're probably just as incompetent as the current lot so he probably wasn't actually expecting them to find him! *g*

lol, he doesn't seem to wind up surrounding himself with the best and brightest, does he?

Thing is, I didn't need to know anything about Buffy (and I don't) to see that these are awesome. Jack is so Jack-like, and I can just imagine him in that situation, and how he would get out of it.

Here, you get my fave JB icon, (yeah, I know you've seen it) for that wonderful rounding out of Jack and Spike! I'm so glad Jack managed to make his own escape. Woohoo!

You're right, Spike is obsessive... um, any plans for Spike trying to find his self-replenishing food source? *gulp* And how Jack would deal with Spike coming after him again? *double gulp*

Lots of practice escaping - heh, yep, not just during his conman days, I bet. I wouldn't be surprised if he's used those skills very, very often since 1869!

Spike and Jack... well... Jack could go looking to stake him, and Spike deciding the best way to survive would be to retreat (not using those terms, I'm sure, probably more thinking the best way to catch Jack off guard and capture him again is to leave him alone for a while, then surprise him... only he never does make it back to Cardiff at that time).

I think it'd be fun to have a souled Spike show up, though, and have him and Jack react to each other.

I'm a huge Spike fan... Both Barrowman and Marsters are excellent actors. The Stories are highly amusing. It would be interesting to see a souled Spike with Jack or a little buffy in the mix.

Mwahaha! Yes, that's so Spike!

Clever Jack! Yep, Spike would be really tempted by that offer!!

Great drabbles! I really liked them! :)
