God, what an awful night! I was knackered by the time I got to bed (about 12.15) and went to sleep really quickly, which is unusual. And then Jack woke up at 3.00 wanting his nappy changed so I did that and put him back expecting him to go back to sleep again as normal.
An hour later, we were still getting up every few minutes to stop him crying and, having changed him twice, watered him, medicined him and tried to bonjela him but failed because he wouldn't open his mouth, we gave up and brought him into our bed so at least we wouldn't have to keep getting up. And he obviously didn't want to lie flat (teething pain, I think) so he just sat there, cuddling his book, for ages and then finally deigned to lie down against me and then Andy and go to sleep.
Another hour later, he was snoring so I put him back in his own bed and finally got a bit more sleep.
7.30 he woke up and started his 'get me out of bed for the day' noises. We tried to tell him to go back to sleep and held out for as long as possible but gave up when he started crying really hard (you know, all shuddery breaths) and just got up.
So I've had about four hours' sleep on top of being tired already and am really short-tempered and about to ring my Mum to ask if she'll have Jack for a few hours today because otherwise I am going to spend most of the day shouting at him.
