I now have a copy of Music Music Music with "Anna, Happy B-Day! John Barrowman" on it. :-)
It was a very long day out (we left home at 12.15 and didn't get back till 8.15!) but we had a really good time - we all got a bit cranky and tired mid-afternoon but perked up again later. We bought some stuff in Lakeland, had a really nice lunch at Carluccio's, visited the Christmas fayre and Jack and Andy went on an old-fashioned carousel, browsed a bit, had coffee/juice and mince pies in Starbucks when we realised we were sugar-crashing, then I went to queue while Andy took Jack to see Father Christmas.
The queue wasn't actually as bad as I'd feared: I got there at 5.00 with the signing due to start at 6.00, and once it began it only took half an hour to get to the front of the queue - by which time Jack and Andy had joined me and Jack was entertaining everyone by ducking under and round and round all the barriers. He came up with me while Andy took photos/video, and thereby got quite noticed by JB, who even turned back to us as the next people were coming along to say "See you later!" to Jack and pull his hat (yes, the hat I knitted) down over Jack's eyes! I didn't really say much - didn't know what to say and didn't want to be like the pathetic screaming teenage girls in front of me! - so I just said thank you for coming here on my birthday and that was about it.
The funniest bit was afterwards, when Jack straightaway got really upset because he wanted to go back for one of the sweets in a bowl on the table by JB! I said he couldn't so he said, "A grape then?" (there was a bowl full of fruit too) and I said no again - and then he got all upset because while we were waiting, I'd said to him (pretty much joking) "Can you say, 'Hello, John Barrowman'?" and afterwards he was upset because "I didn't say hello!" Bless him! How cute is my son???
Anyway, after that we went and had a cuppa and a sandwich and set off home. And I have to say, for a day that long, Jack was an absolute angel and he said he'd had a good time, and said "Happy birthday, Mummy" and, well. I've had a fabulous, fabulous day. :-)

I did celebrate your birthday in a way... I went to see Echo and the Bunnymen with my 2 sisters (which is one reason why I haven't been around much).
