I spent most of last night's episode thinking, "This feels really familiar."

I just realised why.

Beth = Yana. An invented 'good' person hiding someone dangerous and evil. An invented 'good' person who doesn't want to hurt anyone but knows that at some point the switch will flip and they simply won't exist anymore.

Yes, I know canon Yana doesn't know what he is, but the version Medley is playing in Whoville does, and it's the storyline we've got going there that I can see parallels with.

I'll hop over there when someone gives the link of a specific convo that's going well, but overall it's too hard to figure out who is who and the reason I didn't want to start RP'ing myself is not wanting to get sucked in and reading would probably do that as much as participating

If you wanted to just read the Yana threads, though, he's fairly easy to spot, or Mecca has all the threads in her memories here.

I did do a character list, and keep updating it (and am working on doing something with it that will have all the threads for each character, the player, and where in canon/AU/crossover the character comes from, to make it all nice and easy to follow along....).

It was kinda fun watching Jack deal with her and trying to figure out how he'd deal with Yana, if he met him again knowing what he knows now.

Er - fic? What is this fic of which you speak?

I'm getting the odd phrase of fic inspiration, which fades (or just looks really crap) the moment I try and get it down on paper. On the other hand, I can't stop thinking about my RP charcters (except Kurt, who's boring me to death and is getting sent home to try and find something interesting to happen to him) and just keep itching to play with them.

Speaking of which, don't suppose Yana feels like coming along and not getting bitten by Spike??? *g*

Oh, I know what you mean about the fic (although I actually started something last night, go me).

Kurt would be kind of difficult, I'd think, because he knows too much about what's going to happen, but he can't really *change* anything.

I'm on my way to run some errands, but if Spike hasn't found somebody to give him a migraine by the time I get back, Yana'll do it. *eg*

And yes, you're right about Kurt. Still, I'm learning from my mistakes and trying to make sure that any new characters I bring in are not just hot young men (or women) *g* but also actually have a story going on! Spike and the Master are definitely huge amounts of fun to play with.

You should, it's as insane as the Whoniverse... and has that entire good/evil plotline happening to the main character throughout one season, which makes it kind of more believable and scarier

I remember a lot of the Buffy fans I used to know used to go on about Farscape, but at the time I never had enough time to watch it (especially as it would have involved catching up) and, well, since then I have NO time... One day, I'll catch up with everything I haven't watched. Maybe when I retire. *g*
