Something a little different...
Over the years I've come across a lot of kinks and, while some of them don't do much for me, very few of them squick me. But one that I really have never 'got' is adult babies – grown men and women wanting to wear nappies and use nappies and have them changed by women acting as mother substitutes.
It's ironic, therefore, that in my Etsy persona – where I run a shop called WombleKnits, selling eco-friendly knits including wool cloth nappy covers for babies – that I've now received a total of four requests for adult wool nappy covers.
The first, to be fair, was for an actual case of incontinence, and apparently did the job fine. But the others have all been from men wanting to wear nappies not because they needed to but because they wanted to – which to me seems like such a weird idea! I mean, I kind of get wanting to be babied, which perhaps isn't really so far from wanting to give up control by subbing, but actually wanting to wet and soil yourself? Eurgh!
After the second such enquiry, I did some research and discovered that this kink is felt almost exclusively (something like 95%) by men, which kind of makes sense given that men get a lot of pressure in normal life to be strong and leaders and all that stuff, so I kind of get the wanting to regress to babyhood, even if I still don't get wanting to wet yourself.
But it also made me wonder if the fact that there's *such* a high percentage of men is because women have to deal with nappy-like things to soak up bodily fluids for several days every blinking month of their adult lives, whether they want to or not. I can't help wondering, if men had periods, perhaps they might not be so into this kink!
It's not an area I ever thought I'd be giving much thought to, but it certainly is interesting!
