That felt like a more traditional Doctor Who story. Much more like. Even if it was totally obvious almost from the start that the Doctor would turn out to be the Architect.

And even if Moffat's single type of woman is getting so ridiculous now that my son thought Keely Hawes was Missy. (And, in fact, when they started talking about her older self, I even wondered if she was too!)

Not an outstanding episode, but it was enjoyable, and the guest characters were likeable and Clara and the Doctor were both brilliant as always. I have to take my hat off to Peter Capaldi: he certainly is a fantastic actor.

Also no Danny this week, which I can't help but feel is a good thing. I'm trying not to feel negative about him, but he doesn't really interest me and I can't see any chemistry between him and Clara, so it's hard to invest in his character at all.

Note to self: must get a Twelfth Doctor icon!
