Well. That was a hell of a lot better than expected. I really was scared it would ruin everything, but I think it just about managed not to. And oh, there were some lovely, lovely touches. I adored the idea of the Doctor's tomb, and the strands of his life, and using that as a way to bring us bits of past (and future/AU?) Doctors! Lovely to see River too, though I'm worried now that that's the last we're going to see of her. I liked the explanation of how Clara gets scattered in time, too, though it doesn't explain how the 'current' (original?) version of her is so lacking in personality.

I thought bringing Jenny back to life was a bit pathetic – does no-one stay dead any more? Death has got incredibly cheap on Doctor Who these days. Next time someone does actually stay dead, I'm not going to believe it and won't be able to mourn. This show has cried wolf once too often.

But overall, lots of lovely shout-outs to the past (the Valeyard, anyone?) and the future, and lots to enjoy. And it actually made me feel. I even almost teared up on occasion.
